Join artist Michelle Hall for a talk exploring the use of natural materials in her practice, followed by a participatory workshop. Michelle will lead participants in a series of practical text-based and image-making exercises, with techniques including collage and auto-poetry. These activities will act as gentle invitations to explore the sensory and healing qualities of plant matter through participants’ own creative explorations. This event will have a relaxed atmosphere and will include a break.
Michelle Hall is a neurodivergent visual artist and educator based in Dublin. Recent exhibitions include ‘Remembering the Future’ at VISUAL Carlow 2023 and solo show ‘(R)OARS’ at Draíocht Gallery in 2022. Hall’s practice is supported by the Fingal Arts Office Artist Support Scheme 2023 which funded her participation in courses and performance events at Salzburg International Summer Academy of Fine Arts 2023.
